This site is a great idea. I was a Rad Op 3X & apprentice 58/60. Had 35 wpm send/rcv (had to use a typewriter though)& could use a bug. Murray code at 10 wpm and baffled the techs in the Congo when my teletype kept making mistakes. Turned out I was typing faster than the 80 wpm gears in the machine. Once they changed them to 100 wpm gears, my machine made no mistakes.

Hope everyone is doing good and this message finds you on top of the world. When I left Ottawa I left alot behind, wish I could go back and find but that is life. Over my career in the military it was fun and I was going to go to Ontario looking for a friend but someone pointed out she is in Edmonton. If anyone knows Shauna Thomas or how I can contact her, is she still in Bosnia? There are good people wherever you go and some leave a print on your heart, others just bite. :) Enjoy and feel free to drop a line as I get to Edmonton on weekends.
